CORRIDOR STUDIES
NORTH CAPITOL STREET NEEDS ASSESSMENT (DC)
Nspiregreen led the urban design and planning elements. This included provided recommendations for intersection reconfigurations and studying reducing the number of lanes to facilitate safer travel for people biking and walking, improve the aesthetic, and provide left-turn lanes for vehicles. All hand sketches were done by Nspregreen.
NORTH-SOUTH CORRIDOR PLANNING STUDY (DC)
As part of the DC Streetcar Program, Nspiregreen led the engagement for the nine-mile corridor. Nspiregreen supported the planning which included GIS mapping, creating analysis zones, and developing a decision-matrix.
CROSSTOWN MULTIMODAL STUDY (DC)
Nspiregreen led the transit and private shuttle analysis to create better multimodal connections between Columbia Heights and Brookland. Recommendations included simplifying bus operations, transit signal priority, and bus-only lanes.
DC STREETCAR STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE FACILITY (DC)
Nspiregreen led the land use analysis to determine three potential locations for a storage and maintenance facility to accommodate the extension of streetcar service from Union Station to Georgetown. ​
16TH STREET NW TRANSIT STUDY (DC)
Nspiregreen led the public and stakeholder engagement. We supported the physical site assessment and planning analysis, which included co-authoring the final report and developing a 30-foot corridor recommendations map.
